Job Description

The client brand manager is a team lead that is ultimately responsible for the success of a client's engagement within Forthea. They will lead a team of specialists across all marketing channels. Team Leads have all the Star Qualities of a Digital Specialist, but work more autonomously – reporting directly to the VP of Operations. The Team Leads are expected to function at a highly efficient level and to maintain a significant mid-level client relationship.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Day-to-day supervision of client search/online programs including strategic approach, bid recommendations and performance
  • Day-to-day supervision of client web or creative development projects – interfacing with DEDV project manager
  • Strong relationships with search/online community vendors for optimal service and results
  • Contribute to new business pitches
  • Develop, motivate and train Junior Specialists and Digital Specialists
  • Client account management and up-selling of services where applicable
  • Project management of all digital initiatives as they relate to the client

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Ensure team members schedule and lead pre-kickoff meetings
  • Assist with the scheduling and leading client kickoff meetings
  • Recap kickoff meetings and send to client and internal team
  • Ensure team has requested client logins and necessary content and enter info into NetSuite
  • Assign setup tasks for internal team including necessary information to complete tasks and hours allotted to complete the project
  • Monitor time for setup tasks to ensure it is within the allocated budget
  • Review setup documents including keyword research, creative comps, email templates, etc. and send to client for approval
  • Confirm completion of setup tasks
  • Correspond with client through setup process to inform them of status
  • Assign ongoing tasks for internal team
  • Review ongoing plans, ads, press releases, etc. and send to client for approval
  • Regularly update client via email on the status of their account (or ensure direct client contact has)
  • Schedule monthly status calls with client (or ensure direct client contact has)
  • Deliver monthly reports for marketing clients (or ensure direct client contact has)
  • Assess client's marketing successes and determine if additional or "outside the box" ideas need to be implemented by specialists
  • Manage client's satisfaction. Satisfaction = perception - expectation
  • Work with client's outside vendors if necessary
  • Regularly check Google analytics codes are in place
  • Check project time used weekly and manage internal team's time
  • Create weekly status reports for account management meetings
  • Assess time used on every project weekly for weekly project control meetings

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years online marketing experience with a strong background of planning and buying online campaigns
  • Bachelor's Degree from 4-year, accredited college.
  • Excellent client and account service record; track record of accomplishing successful results for clients.
  • Experience with writing, presenting and executing effective communications, media or interactive marketing plans.
  • Ability to specify technical changes to technical/development teams
  • An in depth understanding of search engines, search engine optimization and factors that influence high rankings in Google
  • Experience with PPC - Management of Pay per click programs
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Webtrends, Ominiture)
  • Experience using a CMS and an understanding of the impact they have on SEO
  • Ability to perform research, analyze websites, document changes, and make decisions regarding optimization approach
  • Ability to compile and analyze search data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction
  • Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities
