To thrive as a Dog Daycare Attendant, you need a solid understanding of animal behavior, basic pet care knowledge, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with pet management software and basic first aid certification for animals is often beneficial. Throughout the day, responsibilities include supervising playgroups, maintaining a clean and safe environment, administering basic care such as feeding or medication if needed, and providing enrichment activities to keep pets engaged. Team members regularly communicate with each other to monitor animal behavior and collaborate on care strategies, as well as update owners on their pet's experience. This collaborative and hands-on role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with both pets and the people who love them.
