Asphalt Paving Foreman
Salt Lake City, Utah
Currently seeking individuals with Asphalt Paving Foreman experience to fill positions in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal paving candidates should have 3 years of paving experience and working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment.
Responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Foreman
โ€ขCommunicate with the Manager, Superintendent, inspectors and/or engineers about the paving project.
โ€ขDistribute and discuss the schedule and the equipment needed for the day with the paving crew.
โ€ขConfirm loading times, types of material and tonnage totals.
โ€ขReview work order to confirm job specifications.
โ€ขDiscuss the procedures with the crew prior to starting and throughout the project.
โ€ขEnsure quality workmanship with rake, roller and paver.
โ€ขMonitor and document crew members' time and complete Daily Job report.
Requirements of the Asphalt Paving Foreman
โ€ขHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)
โ€ขMinimum 3 years of paving experience
โ€ขCurrent Class C driver's license with good driving record
โ€ขPhysically able to lift 50 pounds or more, work long hours and weekends if needed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
โ€ขWorking knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment
โ€ขAbility to pave according to DOT and commercial specifications
โ€ขExperience in reading and understanding site and civil plans (grades and measurements)
