Job description

Western Engineering Co., Inc. is seeking experienced Asphalt Paving Crew Members to join our employee-owned team. If you have a strong work ethic, take pride in quality workmanship, and are committed to safety, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of asphalt paving, including laydown, raking, shoveling, rolling, and skid loader.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of paving equipment.
  • Work efficiently with the paving crew to meet production goals.
  • Follow project specifications and maintain high-quality workmanship.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous asphalt paving experience required.
  • Experience with commercial, municipal, or highway paving preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shoveling, and raking.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: pavers, rollers, skid steers, screed operation, or asphalt hand tools such as lute and rake work.
  • Reliable transportation to get to job sites.
  • Availability for early morning starts, overtime during paving season, and weekend work.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.
