Position Description
Responsible for the safe and proper operation of the equipment. Be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by the foreman.

Position Requirements

  • Match all paver joints and maintain consistent joints.
  • Keep screed adjusted properly and maintain mat quality.
  • Assist in handwork as needed.
  • Sets up screed electronics in conjunction with Paver Operator.
  • Assure proper storage and maintenance of all screed equipment.
  • Job site clean up.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
  • Enforce all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook.
  • Insure all Ajax quality standards are met.
  • Insure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Field Environment- Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat.
  • Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The essential functions of this position include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting a minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low-level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS
This position demands an individual with the following strengths:

ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY
