Job description

We are looking for an experienced; hard working; and reliable Pavement Marking Technician with good work ethics to join our team. You will be responsible for performing pavement maintenance and pavement markings in parking lots and/or roadways.

Responsibilities:
  • Drives company vehicles to job sites.
  • Operates hand guided striping equipment; thermoplastic hand liner equipment; crack sealing equipment; seal coating equipment. hand guided grinder; and tape machine.
  • Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment on vehicles.
  • Assists with cleaning gravel; rock; dirt; sand; grass; oil; grease; antifreeze; etc. from surfaces.
  • Assists with mixing paint and filling striping machines and thermoplastic kettles.
  • Assists with installing various signs; wheel stops; and temporary pavement markers.
  • Assists with cleaning job site area; equipment; and tools at the end of each day.
  • Assists with cleaning vehicles (inside and out).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience with crack sealing; seal coating; and striping.
  • Ability to read; write; and speak English.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Must be able to read and understand parking lots and/or roadways blueprints.
  • Must be able to work weekends when necessary.
  • Must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of layout a plus.
