  • Develop and maintain garment specifications from prototype through final production approval.
  • Review and evaluate garment construction, workmanship, fit, and overall product quality throughout the development process.

Fit & Pattern Management

  • Conduct fit sessions, document fit comments, and communicate corrections to vendors and pattern makers.
  • Analyze patterns, and construction methods to ensure proper fit, consistency, and manufacturability.
  • Review and approve prototypes, to ensure adherence to design intent and company standards.
  • Collaborate with design and product development teams to resolve fit and construction issues efficiently.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with designers, and factory partners, to ensure product specifications are feasible and production ready.
  • Communicate technical requirements, fit corrections, and construction details clearly and effectively.
  • Support sourcing initiatives by evaluating fabrics, trims, and construction methods that align with quality, cost, and design objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful product execution.

Quality & Process Management

  • Establish and maintain quality standards for garment fit, construction, and finishing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of specifications, fit history, revisions, and approvals.
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards, brand expectations, and production requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Development, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of Technical Design experience for junior-level roles or 5+ years for senior-level positions.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve fit, construction, and quality issues.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with overseas factories.
  • Strong knowledge of woven, knit, and specialty fabrications.
  • Experience managing vendor communications and technical development through production.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
