Job Title: Host/Support

Location: Karbach Restaurant & Patio

Position Type: Part-Time

Rate: $15.00/hour

Position Overview

Karbach Brewing Company is looking for a dynamic and hospitality-driven Host to join the team at Karbach Restaurant & Patio.

As a member of the support staff, you are the face of our Pub! Often times you will be the first person the guest meets when they walk in and the last one they talk to on the way out.

As the main person at the host stand you are responsible for greeting guests and finding how to best guide them through the Pub. You should be able to speak confidently about all our in-house and-to-go options as well as all retail items. In addition to helping guests, you are also expected to provide support for servers and bartenders including: running food & drinks, and bussing tables.

The support staff is one team and every member must be able to work together to ensure a successful shift.

Duties:

Host:

  • Stock retail, crayons, and menus at host stand
  • Greet and de-greet every guest
  • Help guests navigate different areas of the Pub
  • Manage waitlist and quote accurate wait times
  • Communicate with servers and support team about table availability
  • Talk about and sell retail and packaged beer
  • Take to go- orders over the phone and in person, and quote accurate wait times
  • Answer all phone calls professionally

Busser:

  • Keep pub clean: spot sweep floor, dust railing, clean windows
  • Pre-bus tables as guests finish pates/drinks
  • Communicate orders to the server when asked
  • Completely bus tables when guests leave and wipe it down (sweep when necessary)
  • Help support host and food runner
  • Assist in all areas of the pub: bar, dining, entry
  • Runner:
  • Keep server line stocked: ketchup, water, ice and rolled silverware
  • Listen to expo's directions and take correct food to the correct table and seat position
  • Help expedite food when the expo is off the line
  • When there is no food coming up, help busser in the dining room
  • Help communicate 86's to FOH staff
