About Us:

Johnson Metal Works is a rapidly growing Bozeman-based metal fabrication company specializing in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and Architectural projects. We are currently seeking experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated full-time welders/fabricators to join our team and contribute to our dynamic architectural projects.



Responsibilities:

As a Field Installer in the Architectural Metals department, you will be responsible for the successful installation of architectural metal components such as paneling, railings, stairs, fireplaces, kitchen hoods and more. This role requires a strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to adhere to tight tolerances on reveals, plumb, square, and other critical measurements. This role is ideally suited for individuals with a background in finishes and high-end construction, including finish carpenters, countertop installers, and glaziers.


Requirements:

- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in high-end construction, fabrication, or installation settings

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, plans, and technical/shop drawings

- Basic machine shop knowledge/experience

- Experience with general construction tools and equipment (lasers, levels, saws, drills/impacts)

- Touch-up skills using patina/paint is a plus

- Demonstrated positive attitude

- Commitment to top-line craftsmanship and quality

- Willingness to learn and take direction

- Strong communication skills

- Experience communicating with Superintendents and coordinating with other trades

- Focus on site safety, cleanliness, professionalism, and punctuality

- Experience leading a crew and a desire to lead a crew is an advantage

- Ability to problem-solve on-site with available resources

- Welding certifications are a plus but not required

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Clean driving record
