Job Purpose
GSK is looking to hire a Sr. Insights & Analytics Manager to join our ViiV Healthcare Team. This 18-month contract role is a hybrid model, requiring 2-3 days in the Mississauga or Montreal office, and reports directly to Business Intelligence Director. The ideal candidate will reside in or near Mississauga or Montreal.


As a Sr. Insights & Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for supporting growth in the ViiV Canada business by leading a broad range of key business functions & deliverables with accountability for identifying insights, recommending opportunities that drive impact, and informing strategy. This role will cover the full ViiV Canada portfolio, and include key areas of Performance Reporting, Forecasting, and Sales Force Effectiveness. The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence, collaborative approach, and desire to drive impact, to be ambitious for patients living with HIV and people who can benefit from PrEP.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Accountable for delivering on key I&A pillars, including Performance Reporting, Forecasting, Commercial Analytics, Sales Force Effectiveness and Incentive Compensation, and Market Research

  • Lead the Performance Reporting process to ensure clear understanding of business performance, market dynamics, and insights across cross-functional stakeholders and leadership team

  • Build on customer, competitor and performance insights to proactively identify and recommend opportunities to drive performance and inform strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize and implement actions

  • Directly lead and manage ~2-4 I&A support resources (including Knowledge Centre team, interns, vendors/consultants) to ensure high-quality and timely reporting deliverables, effective utilization, and develop skilled support of the Canadian business

  • Responsible for the delivery of key reports, including Key Performance Indicators, Monthly Performance Reviews, Sales Reporting, PowerBI, Patient Support Program Summary Reports, Supply & Forecast Reports, etc.

  • Proactively monitor, assess needs, and manage the development of reporting deliverables, processes and tools to support effective performance monitoring and quick decision-making

  • Create strong strategic partnership with sales leaders, and lead the territory business planning process, using key data, analytics, and insights to generate strategic and informed plans

  • Drive focus and energy within the organization towards opportunities & key accounts, monitor performance and ensure resources are allocated appropriately to achieve business objectives

  • Use evidence-based data to identify key KPIs with impact, securing buy-in and commitment from cross-functional teams, and set ambitious and achievable business targets

  • Partner with sales and marketing to drive sales effectiveness aligned with brand and business priorities, including segmentation & targeting, alignment, call planning, and reporting

  • Lead the forecasting process to generate forecasts based on clear evidence-driven assumptions, incorporating key market & brand dynamics, pipeline & competition, business strategy, and latest performance insights

  • Monitor and understand drivers of variance to forecasts to manage demand forecasts and ensure product supply

  • Support the strategy and implementation of a motivational pay-for-performance Sales Force Incentive (SFI program), including target setting

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • University Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Healthcare related field

  • Minimum of 10+ years of pharma industry experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in HIV or Specialty Care therapeutic areas

  • Minimum of 5+ years of analytics, sales force effectiveness and/or business intelligence experience

  • Proficient understanding of Canadian pharmaceutical market, including pharma market drivers, health care systems, competitive environment, and patient/HCP/treatment pathways Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesis large data and identify key insights, opportunities and strategic recommendations

  • Proven ability to synthesize business questions and deliver actionable solutions

  • Solution-based mindset able to assimilate and prioritize a broad range of business issues and needs associated with multiple stakeholders within the organization

  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior stakeholders

  • Comfortable challenging others and influencing without authority, ensuring an objective representation of ideas and opinions

  • Proven problem-solver, uses out-of-the-box thinking to drive innovation

  • Pro-active, with a continuous improvement mindset to optimize, simplify, and identify opportunities to add value

  • Strong planning and organization skills, results-oriented with a proven ability to prioritize work and meet challenging deadlines

  • Quick learner with ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Solid understanding of secondary data sources, including IQVIA data

  • Strong skills in MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced University degrees are desirable (Preferred Master or PH.D level Degree like MBA, PH.D., M. Biotech, etc.)

  • Experience with salesforce effectiveness approaches, including segmentation & targeting, alignment, sales reporting, incentive compensation
