Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our thriving practice in Irvine, California. In this full-time role, you will work collaboratively with patients to facilitate their recovery and enhance their overall mobility. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility spanning 5,000 square feet, we specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine. Our team consists of experienced healthcare professionals who prioritize the importance of evidence-based practices while fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for our patients.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Irvine, a vibrant city known for its community-oriented atmosphere and accessibility to numerous recreational activities. Your daily work environment will be characterized by a modern and well-equipped sports medicine facility, designed to facilitate a dynamic therapeutic setting. You will be part of a collaborative team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), each focused on delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional capabilities and personalize treatment plans accordingly.
  • Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour, allowing you to provide focused and individualized attention to each client.
  • Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, manual therapy techniques, and exercise regimens to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and mobility.
  • Promote non-pharmacological therapies and alternatives to surgery, ensuring a conservative and effective approach to rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and share insights regarding treatment efficacy.
  • Monitor patients' progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to adapt to their evolving needs.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans thoroughly using EMR software, including WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment process, emphasizing the importance of consistent participation in their rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement customized fitness and wellness programs to support patients' long-term health objectives.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices and incorporate new methods as appropriate to enhance patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance seeking rehabilitative care for orthopedic conditions. You will work with a diverse range of cases, from post-surgical recovery to injury prevention and performance enhancement for athletes. Your role will be crucial in fostering their recovery journey and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active Physical Therapist license in California.
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure the highest level of clinical knowledge.
  • No disciplinary actions or board stipulations on the license; integrity and professionalism are paramount.
  • Exceptional manual therapy skills are necessary to provide patients with advanced therapeutic techniques.
  • Experience using electronic medical record systems, such as WebPT, will facilitate efficient documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience.
