Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.000000 | Full Time | Monday-Thursday/0745-1715 and Friday/0815-1215 | This team supports and works out of both our Medford and Grants Pass locations
For this role, we will consider candidates at either the Patient Service Rep 1 or Patient Service Rep 2 level. Requirements and wages for each level are noted below.
Starting Wage:
  • PSR1- $16.99-$23.38 per hour, depending on experience
  • PSR2- $18.09-$24.88 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative (PSR), under general supervision, is a multi-tasking position performing a variety of support functions for medical clinics. Duties may include all or part of the following: greeting and directing patients and visitors, telephone management, scheduling, registration, copay collections, time of service account management, charge entry, appropriate cash and end-of-day closure procedures.
The PSR ensures all provider schedules are appropriately populated, telephones are responded to according to established protocols, and complete registration information is captured prior to, or during each patient visit. In this role, the PSR will perform appropriate and timely charge entry for all patients' visits, manage cash drawers according to established protocols, post cash to patients' accounts, and manage patient responsible account balances at the time of service. Collaborative interaction with patients, physicians, other staff members, and management, patient satisfaction, and accurate processing of all front-end functions are integral to the success of this position.
Qualifications
Required experience for the Patient Service Rep 1 level:
  • Previous clerical, administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience, or equivalent education is required

Required experience for the Patient Service Rep 2 level:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant front-desk customer-related experience is required, preferably in a healthcare setting
