General Information:Job title: Director of Infusion Services & Wound CenterSchedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - FridayWeekend rotation: No weekendsHoliday rotation: Paid holidaysPosition Summary:The Director of Infusion and Wound Center position creates and maintains an environment and processes conducive to high-quality, safe, patient-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based infusion, chemotherapy, and wound care for Mile Bluff's patient community. Position Responsibilities:Oversees daily operations of the department: personnel, coordination of care, regimen/medication education, medication ordering, answering staff and patient questions and provides direct care when needed.Oversees and coordinates billing/revenue on a department level: completes and monitors prior authorizations, submit information for CDM build, coordinate billing corrections related to documentation, monitor specialty product cost, and coordinate use of alternatives when appropriate.Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies: review policies & procedures, review hazardous drug handling, monitor overall JCO compliance.Oversee department project management to improve processes for improved efficiency, improved patient outcomes, and improved employee satisfaction.Manage staff schedules and timesheets.Responsible for staff performance, staff recruitments, staff retention and staff development - may be delegated as appropriate.Routinely evaluate the learning needs of the staff and provide opportunities for continuing education to promote personal and professional growth.Direct day-to-day operation and activities related to patient care by maintaining effective communications with all staff, resolving controversies or deviations from normal working procedures using problem solving skills, and at all times maintaining a safe environment for the patients and the staff.Responsible for collaborating with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved patient acre and staff development.Keep nursing staff informed of resources available to provide quality patient care and care planning, i.e. department references, ancillary services and other outside services.Provides opportunity for staff to participate in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing department activities and promotes own professional growth and development as well as personnel supervised.Monitor nursing care planning process and bedside documentation through prospective and retrospective review, personally or through QI projects. Participates in Nursing director meetings, sharing and consulting with members regarding patient and personnel activities relevant to nursing as a whole.Annually prepare budgets of salaries, supplies and expenses, dues and subscriptions, repairs and maintenance, service contracts, travel, professional fees, leases and continuing education. Perform other related duties as needed.Position Requirements:Four-year degree in nursing required. Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license. RNs with an active Compact Licensure are to obtain a Wisconsin RN license within 90 days of start date.Obtains and maintains Chemotherapy Administration Certification within 3 months of hire.BLS within 1 month of hire and ACLS within 1 year of hire3+ years related work experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required. Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.Must possess exceptional clinical skills.Strong quantitative and analytical competency.Self-starter with excellent compassion, interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills.Maintain up to date knowledge of current nursing trends, techniques and practices.Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making within the scope of role.Demonstrates understanding, tact in dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and providers.
