Job description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Regional Radiology Supervisor for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Directs technical aspects, recommends and implements new general diagnostic procedures. Organizes, plans, and directs activities relating to patient services and procedures. Selects and trains clinic personnel and student technologists in radiographic equipment operation, patient positioning and quality assurance. Knowledgeable and proficient in fluoroscopy and Dexa services Evaluates employee performance. Responsible for ensuring appropriate Radiology staffing at multiple locations Evaluates and recommends equipment and supply purchases. Follows department guidelines for proper maintenance of radiographic equipment and appearance of related work areas. Travel to multiple locations to supervise and evaluate staff as needed Works with multiple departments to address issues related to General Radiology services. Recognizes emergency situations; initiates life support measures for patients as necessary. Maintains patient records. Assumes responsibility for cleaning and supplying area according to departmental needs. Enhances professional growth through education programs, conferences, and workshops. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs related work as required. Education

  • Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Certification/License

  • Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Current state permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.

Days: Monday - Friday. Evenings and Weekends

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of experience in radiology imaging modalities, including one year fluoroscopy experience.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
