As an Intake Coordinator of Radiation Therapy at our facility you will be joining a team that strives to provide the very best patient care and compassionate customer service to every person they interact with. • You will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of patient care. 

• You will be creating and updating patient in the EMR database, verifying health insurance coverage, and advising patient on visit expectations/timelines relating to insurance requirements. 

• You will manage and schedule patient referrals from local physicians and clinics. 

• You will assist with scheduling procedures, consultations and other services. 

• You will handle complaints and provide excellent customer service to patients and referring providers. 

• You will perform standard front desk work as needed. Track patient visits and collect fees as needed. 

• You will verify insurance and perform pre-authorization for visits pertaining but not limited to: CT, MA, BS, and PETS. 

• You will collaborate with the team to help develop processes for effective front-end clinic flow and patient appointment management. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Ability to keep neat, accurate records. 

• Ability to follow physician’s orders. 

• Effective interpersonal and patient contact skills.
