About Our Team
Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Madison is a brand new, 40-bed bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Madison, Mississippi opening this fall. It is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier® with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast. How you'll contribute
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team

What We're Looking For
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Essential Functions
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
  • Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Qualifications and requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
  • CRRN Preferred
  • Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
