Responsible for taking patient meal orders and ensuring the timely and accurate assembly and delivery of meals according to patient diet restrictions and preference.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
2. Explains the patient menu to our patients following standard scripting guidelines.
3. Assists patients in selecting meals offering alternatives when appropriate.
4. Ensures meal choices are appropriate for Physician prescribed diet.
5. Informs patient of physician prescribed diet, escalates patient concerns to Dietitians as appropriate.
6. Provides patient with basic information regarding dietary restrictions when taking meal order.
7. Prepares and delivers patient meals in efficient and timely manner.
8. Ensures patient has everything for their meal prior to leaving the room.
9. Follows proper safety procedures related to food service equipment and knives.
10. Follows proper safety procedures related to preparation and holding of foods.
11. Attends all required Inservice training.
12. Reports equipment problems immediately to manager.
13. Maintainins and updates patient nutrition profiles and communicates details to the appropriate Patient Dining Associate.
14. Follows regulated hygiene standards.
15. Maintains stock levels, cleans and sanitizes assigned area.
16. Maintains knowledge of nourishment requirements.
17. Learns and follows standards regarding portion sizes.
18. Keeps work area clean, organized and sanitized.
19. Follows food safety guidelines.
20. Reports any patient complaints/concerns immediately to supervisor or manager.
21. Performs other duties as assigned.
