BHC Alhambra Hospital is located in the beautiful city of Rosemead, California. Our 115 bed facility established in 1924 prides itself on upholding a standard of excellence that allows our patients to take the first step to recovery. BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas.

The Patient Transportation Specialist provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing friendly respectful interaction and role modeling of positive socialization to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. This position is responsible for providing excellence in customer service to all patients and referral sources and for representing the facility and its programs to the community.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide encouragement and support to patients in order to help patients meet their outpatient treatment plan goals and objectives.
  • Provide a positive experience for patients at all times
  • Provide a transportation experience which treats all patients with respect and dignity at all times and is encouraging and supportive of the patient.
  • Greet each patient(s) at the van door and opens the van door for each patient assisting the patient into and out of the van as indicated.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education: High school graduate, or equivalent.

Licensure: Possesses and maintains a valid Class B drivers license.

Additional Requirements: Must be 21 years or older and have a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. Desire and ability to interact positively with others including patients and referral sources and be a role model is required.
