Job description

Patient care assistant – FULL-TIME POSITION OPEN!

Penobscot, ME

 Flexible work hours, paid training, and providing sufficient work devices and supplies.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Assistant Night Shift to join our healthcare team.

Starting pay Rate – $18 -$ 20 per hour

Our growing company also offers eligible employee benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement 401 (k).

The ideal candidate will have experience in a nursing home, community care, or a teaching hospital setting. This position offers an opportunity to work in the patient’s home environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal care
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Provide support in in-home and with errands, appointments and activities outside of home, such as shopping and light housekeeping 
- Assist in medical documentation and record-keeping
- Collaborate with the patient, family, and members of our home health agency to ensure patient well-being

Skills
- Experience in nursing home or home community care preferred
- Familiarity with basic medical documentation
- willing to receive on the job training if no history in-home care or clinical experience
- Knowledge of dementia care practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic phone and computer skills
