Job description

The House Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, Hospital Administrator, Director and/or designee, the House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on-call.
  • Schedule: PRN
  • 1 scheduled night shift per month
  • Variable days/nights for weekends and holidays as needed

Required Skills:
1. Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate competence in the care of the age and type of patient populations served.
2. Documented leadership skills, critical thinking skills, and application of good interpersonal relationships and principles of supervision and administration.
3. Documented and/or demonstrated clinical expertise as a registered nurse, sufficient to provide broad-based assistance to staff as needed.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Five (5) years' clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). Formal experience in leadership role such as charge nurse, clinical lead, or educator is preferred.
Minimum Education:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holds current licensure in Idaho as a registered professional nurse.
2. Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent. BSN preferred.
