Position Overview

We are in search of an empathetic and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to become a pivotal member of our team at Garden Path Counseling. In this full-time remote role, you will utilize your skills to provide essential mental health support to patients at our detox center, guiding them through recovery and helping to build a foundation for long-term wellbeing.

Work Environment

As a remote position, this role facilitates a flexible work setting that allows you to connect with patients from the comfort of your own home. You will engage with patients primarily through teletherapy sessions, ensuring that you maintain a professional and effective therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting your therapeutic modalities to meet the diverse needs of patients undergoing detoxification.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, continually documenting patient progress and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in compliance with organizational and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care through case discussions and case management strategies.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary, employing your skills to manage acute situations effectively.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, equipping them with the tools necessary for recovery and rehabilitation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on patients within our detox center who are struggling with a range of mental health and substance use disorders. You will work closely with individuals who are experiencing withdrawal symptoms, trauma, and anxiety related to the recovery process. Your compassionate and expert intervention can significantly impact their journey toward holistic recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work or a closely related field is required.
  • A current and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation valid in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in the mental health field, particularly in outpatient settings dealing with addiction issues.
  • Strong proficiency in medical documentation practices and understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with motivational interviewing techniques and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
