Job description

Physical Therapist — Spine Care Center
Location:  Layton, UT
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Stephanie Belistonl/ Medical Director

About Us:
At Spinal Care Center, we specialize in non-surgical treatment of spinal conditions, helping patients recover from bulging and herniated discs and avoid surgery whenever possible. Our patient-centered, conservative-care approach puts our physical therapists at the heart of every recovery. We believe in treating the whole patient, not just the symptom — and in giving our clinicians the time, tools, and autonomy to do their best work.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to lead patient therapy and care management at our spine care center. In this role, you’ll design and oversee individualized therapy programs, guide patients through their recovery, and play a central part in coordinating high-quality, non-surgical spine care. This is more than a staff PT position — you’ll take ownership of patient outcomes and help shape how care is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients with spinal conditions, including bulging and herniated discs, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Direct and administer patient therapy programs aimed at pain reduction, improved mobility, and non-surgical recovery.
  • Manage and coordinate ongoing patient care, tracking progress and adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Educate patients on their conditions, therapy goals, home exercises, and long-term spine health.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and support teams to ensure cohesive, high-quality care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure all treatment complies with clinical best practices and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current, valid state license to practice physical therapy (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Experience treating spinal conditions and orthopedic/musculoskeletal patients preferred.
  • Familiarity with non-surgical and conservative spine care approaches.
  • Manual therapy training or certification (e.g., McKenzie/MDT, OCS) a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation:
  • Competitive salary: $115,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Sign-on bonus.
  • Performance bonuses tied to patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Why Join Us:
  • A mission that matters. Help patients avoid surgery and reclaim their lives through conservative, evidence-based care — with you at the center of their recovery.
  • Work-life balance. - [3–4] weeks of paid time off, plus paid holidays - Predictable scheduling with no weekends / limited weekends - Manageable caseload — we prioritize quality care over volume quotas.
  • Grow your career. - Annual continuing education (CEU) stipend plus paid time to attend - Support and funding for specialty certifications (OCS, manual therapy, McKenzie/MDT) - APTA membership and licensure fee coverage - Mentorship and a clear path toward leadership as part of our care-management model.
  • Comprehensive benefits. - Medical, dental, and vision.
  • A workplace you’ll enjoy. - Modern facilities and equipment - A collaborative team model — work directly alongside physicians.
