Job description

Performance Care • Clinical Precision • Millcreek, Utah

Apex Recovery Massage is a sports‑focused, clinical massage clinic serving athletes and highly active individuals who expect results, not routines.

We are seeking experienced Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) who take pride in their craft and want to work in an environment where skill, judgment, and outcomes matter.

This role is best suited for therapists who already know they don’t belong in a spa.

The Work

At Apex, sessions are:

  • Purpose‑driven
  • Customized to the individual
  • Built around recovery, movement, and long‑term performance

Our clients include:

  • Competitive and recreational athletes
  • Outdoor athletes (skiers, climbers, cyclists, runners)
  • Strength‑trained clients and tactical professionals
  • Individuals rehabbing injuries or managing persistent pain

Clients come to Apex because they want effective care — and they trust the therapist to lead the session.

The Therapist We’re Looking For

This position is designed for LMTs who:

  • Are confident in therapeutic or sports‑based bodywork
  • Prefer assessment and problem‑solving over scripted sessions
  • Value autonomy and professional standards
  • Want consistent, high‑quality clients
  • Care deeply about outcomes and client progress

You are trusted to think, adapt, and apply your skills here.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Active Utah Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) credential

Strong Alignment With This Role

  • Sports massage or orthopedic massage experience
  • Clinical or injury‑focused massage therapy
  • Myofascial release, trigger point, or neuromuscular techniques
  • Comfort working with athletic or high‑demand bodies

Additional Skills (Helpful, Not Required)

  • Cupping therapy
  • Gua Sha / scraping
  • Assisted stretching or movement‑based techniques
  • Experience with SOAP notes or clinical documentation

WHY APEX RECOVERY MASSAGE

We intentionally run a clinic that attracts serious therapists and serious clients.

What we provide:

  • Competitive, reliable compensation
  • Clear pathways for professional and financial growth
  • Flexible scheduling between 9am–9pm, 7 days/week
  • A consistent client base that values therapeutic expertise
  • Continuing education reimbursement
  • Access to approved CEU courses
  • A calm, professional, no‑drama work environment

No upsell pressure.
No rushed sessions.
No volume‑at‑all‑costs mentality.

COMPENSATION

  • Base Pay: $25–$30 per massage hour (experience‑based)
  • Tips: Average $15–$25 per massage hour
  • Typical Total Compensation: $40–$55 per hour

LOCATION

Millcreek, Utah

The Bigger Picture

Apex Recovery Massage is built for therapists who want:

  • To work at a high standard
  • To be respected as healthcare professionals
  • To build long‑term client relationships
  • To practice sustainably, without burnout

If you’re an LMT who takes your work seriously and wants a clinic that does the same, we should talk.
