Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pathology Assistant to provide coverage in a hospital-based laboratory in Georgetown, South Carolina.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced pathology environment and value consistency with potential multi-site exposure.

Schedule & Coverage

Day Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
️ 1-hour unpaid lunch
Ongoing assignment (until permanent hire + vacation coverage)
Flexible scheduling

No on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Perform specimen grossing and examination
Manage daily pathology caseload efficiently
Ensure all cases are completed before end of shift (OT if needed)
Collaborate with pathologists and lab teams
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications

Pathology Assistant certification
ASCP certification (required)
Strong experience in grossing specimens
Eligible for credentialing across multiple health systems
