Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, CT ATTACH RESUME
Join our Pathology Lab Team and contribute your skills to a team committed to delivering high-quality patient care. This is an on-site position.
We're looking for someone who is organized, focused, and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
You would support a busy Pathology office as office assistant and responsible for addendum reports, customer service and send out testing via FedEx.
What you will do:
  • Customer service, fax and answer phone calls, as well as placing occasional orders and Kronos support.
  • Addendums of Pathology Lab reports.
  • Support Pathology Team with additional office tasks as needed.

Work Hours/Shift:
Per Diem; work hours 8am-4:30pm - must be available to train 3 days per week for 2 weeks.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in an Allied Health Field preferred.
  • One year of working experience in a medical office or hospital, preferred.
  • Three years of experience as a Medical Word Specialist /Transcriptionist in an acute-care setting, preferred.
  • Evidence of ability to transcribe all work types.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a Windows computer environment, required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dictation & transcription word-processing systems and equipment.
