We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team and contribute to the well-being and communication development of the students we serve.
Position Overview:
As a school- based Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Under the guidance and supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists, your work will directly contribute to the success and well being of students.
Requirements:
SLPA FL State licensure or willing to obtain

Additional Details: We are looking for a dedicated SLPA to join this well-organized and supportive district. The district is open to full and part-time work. Current opportunities are listed below:
Davidson Middle School - Crestview - 5 days a week
Silver Sands School -K-22 - Ft Walton Beach - 3 days a week
Richbourg School - K-22 - Crestview - 2 days a week
Edwins Elementary K-5 - Ft Walton Beach - 5 days a week

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program or related field.
  • FL State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to assist in managing caseload and documentation.
  • Dedication to providing culturally competent and student-centered care.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a Licensed SLP the SLPA will:
  • Assist in conducting speech and language assessments under the direction of licensed Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Provide speech and language therapy interventions, exercises, and activities to support the client's communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
  • Support the implementation of treatment plans and carryover of therapy goals
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting the client's progress, communicating findings to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Work with individual students to reinforce therapy techniques and activities.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology assistant services in a school setting
