Assistant Electrical Project Manager – Commercial Projects (Charlotte, NC)

$70,000–$79,000/year (based on experience)

TEC Electric is hiring an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial electrical construction projects in the Charlotte area.


This is a field-driven role working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects organized, on schedule, and running efficiently — not just administrative work, but true project support including scheduling, cost tracking, coordination, and jobsite involvement.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist Project Managers with daily oversight of electrical construction projects
  • Support project scheduling, timelines, and milestone tracking
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project scopes
  • Track project costs, budgets, and assist with change orders
  • Help manage procurement of materials, equipment, and deliveries
  • Support jobsite operations and ensure project readiness
  • Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and reports
  • Identify and help resolve project issues related to scheduling, scope, or execution
  • Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation
