Job description

Discover a workplace where the night sky still feels infinite and every day begins with a horizon worth protecting. At Patagonia Lake State Park in southern Arizona, you're not just taking a job - you're stepping into a landscape shaped by desert hills, clear waters, and a community that values conservation, connection and adventure. Offering competitive pay and benefits. Apply Today!
Bring your passion for cooking to a kitchen with one of the best views in Arizona. As a Food Truck Cook at Patagonia Lake, you’ll do more than prepare meals—you’ll help fuel unforgettable outdoor experiences for visitors exploring the park, relaxing by the water, or passing through on their next adventure. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering fresh, high-quality food from a compact, high-energy kitchen. Working in a food truck means every shift is dynamic—you’ll be cooking, prepping, organizing, and collaborating with your team to keep service running smoothly, even during peak rushes.

We’re looking for a dependable, self-motivated cook who can take ownership of their station, adapt quickly, and maintain consistency under pressure. If you enjoy the rhythm of a busy kitchen and the reward of serving satisfied customers, you’ll fit right in.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Manage food prep, portioning, and inventory within a limited space
  • Maintain strict food safety and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Work closely with team members to ensure timely and accurate order completion
  • Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational tasks
Position Requirements:
  • Knowledge of food preparation and storage, sanitation requirements and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in close proximity to other people
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting will be required

Experience in a commercial kitchen or food truck is preferred, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are just as important.

If you’re ready to cook great food in a unique outdoor setting and be part of a team that keeps things moving, this is your chance to take your skills on the road.

Our Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
