We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring material availability for production and installation schedules. This position is ideal for someone with strong procurement experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. In this role, you’ll oversee purchasing activities, resolve supply delays, and expedite critical orders. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to align inventory planning with project timelines, maintain accurate ERP data, and support strategic sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings and supplier performance.

Details about the role:

Work location: Pontiac, MI

Work type: On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.

Expected hours of work: Typical work schedules for this site are 6am-430pm, Monday to Thursday.

Overtime: This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Travel: This position may require occasional local travel to other Paslin locations.

Work Environment: This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. This role requires the use of hand tools or equipment. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent expected, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years in purchasing or supply chain (manufacturing/project-based)
  • Experience with MS Dynamics AX or similar ERP
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
