Job description

The City of O'Fallon is seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Part-Time Volleyball Referee for our Recreational Volleyball League. This position involves refereeing league matches for 1-6 hours per week Wednesday and Thursday evenings, ensuring games are conducted in a fair, safe, and enjoyable manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Officiate volleyball matches according to program rules and set-up procedures.

  • Monitor and enforce game regulations to promote sportsmanship and safety.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, coaches, and players to address questions or concerns.

  • Collaborate with the Recreation Department team to maintain a smooth operation of the league.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a volleyball referee, with knowledge of recreational volleyball rules and set-up procedures.

  • Comfortable engaging with parents, coaches, and players in a professional and approachable manner.

  • Valid Missouri State driver's license.

  • Availability to work evenings as required.
