Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The Shuttle Driver provides reliable daily transportation for residents and maintains the community’s shuttle schedule. This role supports the property’s operational goals by ensuring timely service, clear communication, and a strong customer experience. The Shuttle Driver works under the supervision of the Community Manager.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate daily shuttle routes between the community and designated locations.
  • Create, maintain, and update the daily shuttle schedule.
  • Communicate maintenance, cleaning needs, or vehicle concerns to the Community Manager.
  • Complete daily logs and documentation as required.
  • Report observed community rule violations to the Community Manager.
  • Use community equipment, fuel, and supplies responsibly.
  • Support additional projects or tasks assigned by the Community Manager.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and monitor responsiveness to resident needs.
  • Represent the community professionally and reinforce a positive reputation.
  • Ensure consistent, fair interactions with all residents.
  • Uphold and enforce community policies as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail and care for property, vehicles, and landscape.
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety and cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and basic documents.
  • Ability to write simple, clear correspondence.
  • Comfortable communicating with residents and team members in small groups or one-on-one.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and operations with simple units of measure.
  • Ability to follow one- or two-step instructions and apply practical problem solving.
  • Prior experience in transportation, maintenance, landscaping, housekeeping, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Organized, punctual, and detail-focused.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and accept feedback.
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work weekends or overtime when needed.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing laws and OSHA requirements preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid CDL driver’s license required.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This role regularly involves:

  • Outdoor environments
  • Changing weather conditions
  • Exposure to odors, fumes, or chemicals
  • Mechanical equipment and moderate noise
  • Occasional work at heights or near electrical components
