Job description

Catholic Religious Education Coordinator

Location: Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB), Idaho
Position Type: Part-Time (Up to 15 hours per week, maximum 540 hours annually)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate weekly Catholic Religious Education classes for children, youth, and adults.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer catechists and ministry volunteers.

  • Plan and organize religious education events, programs, and activities.

  • Maintain program schedules, records, and communications with parents and participants.

  • Prepare announcements, reports, and program materials.

  • Coordinate classroom space, supplies, and educational resources.

  • Ensure classrooms and program areas are prepared and secured during activities.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education, Theology, or related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in Catholic Religious Education, catechesis, or ministry coordination.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic ministry environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
