Job description

As the Parts Department Manager at Seattle MINI, you will oversee all operations of the parts department, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer service. You will manage inventory, coordinate with other departments, and lead the parts team to meet the dealership’s goals and standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee daily operations of the parts department, ensuring smooth workflows and excellent service to internal and external customers. 

  • Manage inventory levels by ordering, stocking, and organizing parts to meet the needs of the service department and retail customers. 

  • Monitor and analyze parts sales performance, implementing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. 

  • Train, mentor, and manage parts department staff, including advisors and clerks, fostering a team-oriented environment. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and competitive pricing. 

  • Collaborate with the service, sales, and reconditioning teams to coordinate parts availability for repairs, sales, and inventory preparation. 

  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies, dealership procedures, and safety regulations. 

  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints professionally, providing resolutions in a timely manner. 

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchases, and sales using dealership management software. 

  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and financial performance to ensure accountability and accuracy. 

  • Stay updated on market trends, manufacturer updates, and new products to keep the department competitive. 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive parts department, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. 

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and vendor relationships. 

  • Proficiency in dealership management systems and inventory tracking software. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
