ECHO is growing our Parts team! We are seeking a Parts Administrator to support and execute engineering change control processes. The ideal candidate will have experience managing part supersessions, interchanges, and configuration updates, ensuring accurate implementation and documentation across product lines.

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 based on experience and qualifications.

This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

Engineering Change & Lifecycle Management:

  • Execute ongoing engineering change control via consistent Setsuhen system input.
  • Manage the seamless implementation of part supersessions, interchanges, and configuration updates while proactively addressing excess and obsolete parts inventory.

Service BOM Creation:

  • Collaborate closely with the cross functional teams to create, structure, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for service assemblies and specialized service kits.

System Initialization:

  • Coordinate and execute the complete setup of all new items, components, and service configurations within the corporate XA system environment.

Inventory & Demand Support:

  • Manage master data integrity to support inventory management functions across a massive catalog, assisting the Demand Planning Team with annual service parts forecasting data.

Cost & Margin Optimization:

  • Partner with purchasing and the supply base to gather accurate part costs.
  • Perform routine annual cost and margin analyses, alongside competitive OEM and "Will-Fit" parts pricing evaluations, to optimize top-line sales and profitability across all served markets.

Pricing & Documentation Strategy:

  • Establish distributor and retail pricing strategies for service parts, coordinating the entry and ongoing maintenance of these pricing structures.
  • Create and publish the Distributor Parts List (DPL) for all newly introduced models.

Kitting & Revenue Enhancement:

  • Work with the Senior Parts Analyst to identify strategic opportunities to create captive parts and proprietary service assemblies that drive revenue enhancement.

Brand Representation:

  • Establish packaging requirements, ensure parts availability, and represent ECHO while attending and supporting corporate events, trade shows, open houses, customer appreciation events, and technical service training.

Operational Agility:

  • Perform additional duties and administrative tasks as assigned by management to support the department.

Job Experience/Skills: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar configuration control, parts administration, or engineering data analyst role within a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Prior hands-on experience navigating and utilizing XA system software is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (especially Excel for data manipulation) and a strong comfort level adapting to proprietary engineering databases like the Setsuhen system.
  • Exceptional organizational and data management skills, with the proven ability to successfully manage and audit a complex database of a minimum of 30k active parts.
  • Must be a highly logical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, a strict orientation toward continuous process improvement, and a customer-centric attitude that helps drive downstream sales.
  • Extreme attention to detail, as accuracy in item setup and BOM architecture directly impacts field service execution.

Education: An AES degree in a business-related or technical field, though equivalent professional work experience may be substituted for a formal degree.
