Parallel Ag proudly carries AGCO farm equipment plus a full line of parts to help all farming operations. With well-known brands such as Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Manitou, Gleaner, and more, you won't find a more extensive inventory of field-ready equipment. Customers come to depend on Parallel Ag to get any job done and we are looking to add a highly motivated Parts Manager to our team!
The Parts Manager is responsible for driving excellent customer service through parts transactions for our customer's and service team members. It will be the goal of the Parts Manager to lead the team towards company goals while maintaining customer relations and supporting the work of other departments in the dealership. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities and duties of the Parts Manager will include the following:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Parallel Ag product portfolio for farm equipment
  • Gain agronomic knowledge to reference during the sales process
  • Create and maintain legendary customer service and building a team-minded environment
  • Perform counter sales and answer customer inquiries
  • Effectively collaborate with other department leaders
  • Strive to successfully achieve all departmental goals
  • Process daily, weekly, and preseason parts orders and parts returns in a timely manner
  • Be open to hear opinions from staff about daily operations and procedures
  • Manage staff scheduling (lunches, Saturdays, on call rotation, etc.)
  • Oversee shipping and receiving
  • Fill and prepare orders, via phone or in person, for shipment or for customer pickup daily
  • Ensure workplace is a clean, safe, and friendly work environment
  • Address any discrepancies in parts inventory
  • Check in daily and stock orders as needed
  • Maintain team environment

Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills, and other Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Parts experience in heavy equipment, agriculture, or automotive industries preferred
  • Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to professionally manage difficult customer situations
  • Computer proficiency
  • Understanding of financial statements is a plus
  • Be available for 24 hour on call rotations
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new people and environments
