What is partnerships marketing?

Partnerships marketing is a strategy where businesses collaborate with other organizations, brands, or individuals to achieve mutual marketing goals. This can involve co-branded campaigns, joint events, content collaborations, or shared promotions that benefit both parties. The key objective is to reach new audiences, increase brand awareness, and drive growth by leveraging the strengths and customer bases of each partner. Professionals in partnerships marketing build and manage these relationships, ensuring that both sides gain value from the collaboration.

How does a partnerships marketing professional typically collaborate with internal teams and external partners?

Partnerships Marketing professionals regularly coordinate with internal teams such as product, sales, and communications to ensure partnership initiatives align with company goals and brand messaging. Externally, they work closely with partner organizations to design co-marketing campaigns, negotiate deliverables, and measure joint success metrics. Effective communication, project management, and relationship-building skills are essential, as these professionals often serve as the primary liaison between their company and its partners, ensuring that all parties remain aligned and objectives are met.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a partnerships marketing professional, and why are they important?

To excel in Partnerships Marketing, you need a solid understanding of marketing strategy, relationship management, and business development, often backed by a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Google Analytics is typically required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills help professionals build and maintain strong partner relationships. These skills and qualifications are crucial for driving mutually beneficial partnerships, maximizing campaign impact, and achieving organizational growth.

Job description

Hi, Future Homie!

At Homebase, you’ll join a team that’s bold, fast-moving, and obsessed with helping small businesses thrive. We build with empathy, act with urgency, and take big swings that drive real-world impact. Here, every Homie shows up to raise the bar, support one another, and celebrate wins as a team.

We’re not just building an app—we’re building unstoppable teams. So what do you say, are you in?

Your Impact Starts Here

We’re looking for a Partnership Marketing Manager to lead our partner marketing efforts to boost customer acquisition, product adoption, and revenue growth. This role offers the opportunity to build robust go-to-market strategies and spearhead impactful campaigns with key partners, such as Clover, franchises, and other distribution partners. We are seeking a strategic thinker with a knack for executing campaigns that captivate and engage, helping Homebase shine within partner ecosystems and distribution channels.

These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact in this role:
  • Own the partner marketing relationship end-to-e??nd. Serve as the primary point of contact for partner marketing counterparts at key distribution partners (e.g., Clover, franchises), leading the day-to-day relationship, aligning on joint priorities, and managing the partner marketing team to plan and execute partnership marketing activities.
  • Drive campaigns from concept to measurement. Lead project management across all partnership marketing initiatives — setting timelines, chasing down launch dependencies, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks from kickoff through post-launch reporting.
  • Shape GTM strategy for partnership product experiences. Partner closely with Product, Product Design, and Engineering during the development of new partnership experiences, then own the go-to-market strategy for those product integrations — including positioning, launch planning, and channel execution.
  • Lead partner channel distribution strategy. Own campaign creation start to finish, overseeing creative asset development and testing for incremental conversion across paid and organic channels.
  • Align on value proposition and messaging. Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to ensure positioning and value props resonate across partner ecosystems and customer segments.
  • Enable partner channel sales. Work alongside partner channel sales teams to build compelling sales materials and incentive schemes that accelerate partner channel growth.
  • Measure and optimize performance. Track, analyze, and improve marketing campaign performance against channel-specific KPIs, with a focus on efficiency, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
The Foundation for Success -
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with 3+ years focused on partner or channel marketing within a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Exceptional at cross-functional collaboration and project management, with the ability to synchronize diverse teams and push projects to completion. Familiar with dynamic sales environments, contributing to sales strategy, pipeline acceleration, and success metrics.
  • Demonstrated prowess in crafting and propelling partner programs that yield tangible results in customer growth, engagement, and revenue.
  • Adept in managing marketing campaigns with a comprehensive understanding of performance metrics, tactics for optimization and experimentation for growth.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced setting, with a proactive approach to testing, learning, and implementing strategic actions.
Bonus points if you bring:
  • Background in marketing to SMBs or with fintech/POS partners like Clover, Square, Toast, or Stripe.
  • Knowledge of lifecycle and product-led growth strategies aimed at activating and converting partner audiences.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Iterable, or similar sales and marketing platforms.
The Homie Way -
  • Be Customer Obsessed – Solve problems with empathy and creativity.
  • Move Fast, Learn Fast – Experiment, take action, and grow every day.
  • Own Your Impact – Think big, focus on what matters, and make decisions you stand behind.
  • Master Your Craft – Excellence fuels impact—show up, step up, and make your mark.
  • Win Together – Put goals over roles, lead with trust, and connect to our mission and each other.
What We Offer
  • Ownership & Financial Security: Stock options + 401(k) with 4% match
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage + FSA options
  • Time Flexibility: Flexible PTO + company holidays
  • AI access, for real: We invest in builders and believe that curiosity shouldn't have a paywall. That means you'll have access to paid AI tools with minimal restrictions, so you can build, experiment, and level up your craft.
  • Family Support: Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave (after 6 months of service)
  • Protection Plans: Life insurance + short/long-term disability coverage
  • Work Your Way: Work From Anywhere Month + meeting-free weeks yearly
  • Workspace Perks: Meals provided, commuter benefits, team offsites, and Customer Days
  • Our Hybrid Rhythm: We believe collaboration drives impact. That’s why Tuesdays and Wednesdays are our required in-office days—a time to move faster as a team, build deeper connections, make better decisions, and build together.
Belonging at Homebase -

We're committed to fostering a welcoming space where every Homie can be their full self. Experience comes in many forms—so if you're excited about this role, even if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, we encourage you to apply!
