Summary:
The Fintech Partnership Manager owns RiverBank's fintech partnership lifecycle, from identifying and evaluating prospective partners through underwriting, onboarding, risk oversight, and ongoing relationship management. The ideal candidate combines relationship management, disciplined program administration, sound judgment, and a practical understanding of banking and fintech risk to support responsible growth in this important area of the Bank.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Fintech Partnership Administration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned fintech partners by coordinating recurring partner calls, routing questions to appropriate RiverBank teams, documenting decisions, and following up on open items through resolution.
  • Oversee day-to-day partner administration by maintaining communication logs, tracking open issues and requests, coordinating service needs with internal teams, and providing status updates to leadership and partner contacts.
  • Support the launch of new fintech partners, as well as new products, features, and enhancements for existing partners.
  • Maintain organized partner records, implementation materials, status updates, launch documentation, and program inventories to support operational consistency and management reporting.

Partner Onboarding and Implementation
  • Lead onboarding activities for new fintech partners and products, helping ensure a smooth, well-documented, and coordinated implementation process across RiverBank teams.
  • Develop and maintain launch checklists, implementation plans, meeting agendas, action logs, and post-launch follow-up items in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Compliance, BSA/AML, Information Technology, Finance, Deposit Operations, Treasury Management, Risk Management, and executive leadership to support timely execution of fintech initiatives.
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings, document key decisions, assign action items, and monitor progress through completion.

Coordination and Program Management
  • Coordinate internal requests related to fintech partners and identify opportunities to reduce duplication, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen communication among stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing program changes, implementation timelines, process updates, and service enhancements to promote a high-quality partner and client experience.
  • Use M365 applications and project or workflow management tools to track tasks, escalations, milestones, performance items, and partner requests.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization and help drive informed decision-making related to partner initiatives, launch readiness, and operational execution.

Issue Management and Service Quality
  • Monitor partner issues, implementation challenges, and service concerns, and coordinate issue resolution with appropriate internal teams to maintain program integrity and partner satisfaction.
  • Escalate matters to leadership when appropriate, particularly where issues may affect customer experience, operational resiliency, compliance obligations, contractual performance, or strategic partner outcomes.
  • Identify process gaps, recurring friction points, and operational inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to strengthen RiverBank's fintech partnership framework.

Governance, Documentation, and Compliance Support
  • Maintain documentation that supports sound program administration, internal transparency, and effective coordination with applicable RiverBank policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Information Security, and Bank Secrecy Act partners to ensure required reviews, approvals, and controls are incorporated into onboarding and ongoing partner management processes.
  • Support audits, exams, internal reviews, policy updates, and special projects involving fintech partnerships or related third-party programs.

Minimum Requirements:
Education, Training and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant banking or fintech experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relationship management, program management, project management, banking operations, fintech partnerships, BaaS, treasury services, deposit operations, or a related banking function.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and coordinating projects or initiatives involving multiple departments strongly preferred.
  • Experience in community banking, fintech partnerships, third-party relationship management, or financial technology implementation preferred.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, deadlines, and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • This position is eligible for annual bonus with the first year being pro-rated based on time in position.
