Position Summary

The Senior Manager - Chief of Staff, Digital Engineering will report into the VP of Digital Engineering serving as a strategic operator and execution partner. This individual contributor role drives operational excellence, monitors critical engineering health metrics, and serves as an interface for external engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Define, author, and cascade engineering goals that directly translate the company vision into actionable milestones
  • Engineering Ops Reviews: Lead and run engineering operations reviews to ensure leadership remains aligned on core objectives
  • Engineering Governance: Establish, track, and analyze key engineering operational metrics, translating data trends into actionable leadership insights
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor monthly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) spend and partner with teams to drive cloud infrastructure cost optimization
  • Security & Compliance: Track security vulnerabilities, monitor remediation timelines, and ensure engineering alignment with data privacy laws
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Act as the primary liaison for third-party agencies, vendors, and technology providers
  • External Advocacy: Represent the organization and showcase company digital initiatives during external engagements
  • Operations & Staff Meetings: Lead the VP's leadership staff & other operational meetings, coordinate agendas, manage calendar priorities, and track action items
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the broader corporate Chief of Staff community to unblock cross-functional dependencies
  • Strategic Communication: Draft executive presentations, organization-wide announcements, and major team accomplishment reports

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years managing digital engineering operations, including goal setting, metric tracking, and vendor relationship management
  • 4+ years of experience working as a Chief of Staff, or in a similar role supporting executive-level stakeholders
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • 2+ years of experience influencing without authority, managing multiple fast-moving priorities, and solve complex business and technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior domain knowledge or experience within the Healthcare industry
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude) to accelerate workflow productivity and documentation

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
