Job description

SUMMARY
The Director of Arena Partnership Sales is responsible for generating, developing, and closing new corporate partnership revenue for the Reno Arena. This leadership role will focus on founding partnerships, category-exclusive sponsorships, naming rights opportunities, premium hospitality integrations, and arena-wide marketing platforms. The Director will play a critical role in establishing the commercial foundation of the arena during pre-opening and long-term operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and execute strategic partnership sales plans to achieve annual revenue goals.
Prospect and secure new corporate partnerships across local, regional, national, and international brands.
Lead the sales process from prospecting through negotiation and contract execution.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite decision makers, agencies, and brands.
Develop customized sponsorship platforms integrating arena assets, hospitality, premium seating, digital media, community programs, and special events.
Collaborate with Partnership Strategy, Premium Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and CRM process.
Represent Reno Arena at industry conferences, community events, and business development meetings.
Mentor and support future partnership sales personnel.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Demonstrated success selling six and seven-figure corporate partnerships.
Strong presentation, storytelling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with CRM platforms and sales forecasting.
Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills are required.
Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours business needs dictate.
Ability to travel as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required.
8+ years of sponsorship sales, business development, or sports and entertainment sales experience, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting and standing, and occasionally walking during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to occasionally push/pull 25lbs or less.
The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both hands.
