What are the details?
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Proven success selling professional and managed services to new and existing SMB and Enterprise customers while consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly sales targets.
  • This role includes hunting (prospecting) and farming (managing existing accounts)
  • Reliable forecasting and pipeline management
  • Create and execute sales and business development initiatives to increase sales pipeline. This includes collaboration with the marketing team at Opti9 and/or co-selling with AWS.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory and account plans to drive market share, generate leads, acquire new customers, and expand relationships with targeted customers and prospects.
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around Opti9 offerings
  • Conduct QBR's with existing managed services customers
  • Work with existing partners (outside of AWS) to extend reach & drive adoption and develop new partners to further enhance market positioning
  • Work with sales leadership to manage pricing, contract negotiations and proposal presentations
  • Ensure customer satisfaction

What do you know?
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Ideal candidates will have sales experience at AWS or at an AWS partner
  • 5+ years of direct field sales experience with SMB and Enterprise accounts, with a proven track record of successfully selling AWS and other cloud-based managed and professional services.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage C-level relationships, leveraging strong business acumen, sales, negotiation, and client relationship skills to effectively communicate with executive and line-of-business leaders and position solutions through an ROI-driven lens.
  • Skilled in developing account strategies, penetrating new accounts, and building lasting client relationships across a broad spectrum of buyers, influencers, and executive decision-makers.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com and ACE, with a strong commitment to maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and quality.
  • An extensive network is a plus. Expert hunting skillsare required.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Occasional travel to AWS offices, customer sites, or industry events
