About the role

SolarWinds is seeking a Partner Communications Manager to lead the strategy, creation, and execution of communications for our global partner ecosystem. This individual contributor will serve as the central communications owner for partners and internal teams, translating partner-program priorities, business updates, incentives, enablement opportunities, and operational changes into clear, timely, and actionable communications.

The role combines strategic communications planning with hands-on content development and program execution. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships across Channel, Marketing, Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, Operations, and regional teams to ensure partners and Solarians have the information they need to engage effectively and drive growth.

What you'll do

  • Partner-facing communications
    • Own the partner communications strategy and editorial calendar across the global partner ecosystem.
    • Develop clear, audience-appropriate communications covering partner-program updates, benefits, requirements, incentives, promotions, enablement, processes, and key business announcements.
    • Translate complex program, operational, and commercial information into concise, actionable partner messaging.
    • Coordinate content reviews, approvals, localization, compliance checks, and publication across relevant channels.
    • Establish communication standards, templates, and repeatable processes that improve consistency and speed to market.
    • Measure communication effectiveness and use partner and field feedback to improve content, timing, and delivery.
  • Partner newsletter
    • Own the end-to-end creation and execution of the partner newsletter, including editorial planning, content development, stakeholder coordination, production, distribution, and post-send reporting.
    • Build a balanced content mix that includes program updates, partner resources, incentives, success stories, events, training, product or solution news, and calls to action.
    • Maintain a reliable monthly cadence and ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned to current partner priorities.
    • Track engagement metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations to Channel and Marketing leadership.
  • Monthly partner webinar cycle
    • Manage the monthly partner webinar cycle from planning through follow-up.
    • Develop the annual and quarterly webinar calendar in partnership with Channel, Product Marketing, Sales, Enablement, and subject-matter experts.
    • Define webinar objectives, audiences, agendas, speakers, promotional plans, registration messaging, and follow-up communications.
    • Coordinate logistics, rehearsals, presentation materials, recordings, on-demand assets, and post-event communications.
    • Use registration, attendance, engagement, and feedback data to improve the webinar experience and inform future programming.
  • Partner LinkedIn page
    • Manage the partner LinkedIn page and establish a consistent editorial and publishing cadence. Create, edit, schedule, and maintain social content that highlights partner value, enablement, events, success stories, program news, and relevant SolarWinds initiatives.
    • Partner with Brand, Social, Product Marketing, and regional Channel teams to maintain brand consistency and appropriate governance.
    • Monitor engagement and emerging themes, respond or route inquiries as appropriate, and recommend opportunities to increase partner participation and reach.
  • Internal partner communications
    • Own internal communications about all things partner for Sales, CAMs, Field Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholder groups.
    • Create internal newsletters, announcements, briefing materials, talking points, FAQs, enablement updates, and leadership-ready summaries.
    • Ensure internal teams understand partner-program changes, timelines, responsibilities, available resources, and required actions.
    • Coordinate communications for launches, incentives, process changes, portal updates, training, partner events, and escalations.
    • Maintain a centralized communications calendar and content repository so stakeholders can easily find current materials.
  • Cross-functional leadership
    • Serve as a communications advisor and thought partner to Channel leadership and the broader partner organization.
    • Create communication plans for major initiatives, including audiences, messages, channels, timing, owners, dependencies, and success measures.
    • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities and manage feedback through approval to launch.
    • Identify communication gaps and proactively recommend improvements to the partner experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in partner communications, channel marketing, corporate communications, field communications, content marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications programs across multiple audiences and channels.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex business, technical, or program information clear and actionable.
  • Experience owning an editorial calendar and managing content from initial brief through approval, publication, and measurement.
  • Experience producing newsletters and webinars, including content planning, stakeholder management, logistics, and performance reporting.
  • Experience managing an organization's LinkedIn presence or a comparable social channel.
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and comfort working in a highly cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to operate as a strategic advisor while remaining hands-on in writing, editing, production, and execution.
  • Proficiency with common collaboration, presentation, email marketing, webinar, analytics, and social-publishing tools.
  • Proficiency with leveraging AI tools to enhance content development while maintaining consistency in branding, SolarWinds voice, driving productivity and thought leadership
  • Experience using engagement data, surveys, and stakeholder feedback to improve communications programs.
  • Experience supporting global or regional audiences and adapting communications for different partner types and markets.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in B2B technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, IT operations, or an indirect sales/channel environment.
  • Experience communicating partner-program structures, incentives, tiering, deal registration, enablement, or go-to-market processes.
  • Familiarity with partner portals, marketing automation, webinar platforms, social publishing tools, and collaboration environments.
