Job description

Solutions Architects guide AWS customers and partners in complex cloud deployments that drive business outcomes. You will work with our most strategic Federal Technology partners-where workload performance matters, delivery timelines are important, and requirements evolve constantly. You'll map their technical challenges, structure delivery approaches, and help them ship solutions fast.

This includes scoping, sequencing, and architecting full-stack cloud solutions that create measurable value, while driving clarity across internal AWS teams and external stakeholders.
You will work directly with senior technology and business leaders as their technical thought partner, guiding cloud adoption, maximizing impact, and ensuring successful deployments at scale. Along the way, you'll identify reusable architectural patterns, codify best practices, and share field signal that influences AWS's product and service roadmap.
** Note that this role requires U.S. Citizenship
Key job responsibilities
You will work on the Public Sector Partners team, where you will own the technical relationship with Fed Tech partners adopting AWS-from first whiteboard session to production at scale

You'll design cloud architectures that solve real world problems, help partners ship GenAI and data solutions using the full breadth of AWS, and ensure every engagement lands with measurable impact. Specifically, you will:
- Guide our partners in designing and creating complex, multi-service workloads on AWS, driving end-to-end, strategic, technical value for public sector customers
- Lead engagement and relationship building with our partners' technical executives (C-level) and working-level engineering teams
- Look around corners for our partners, understand their business context and technical requirements, guide their architectures, and build proofs-of-concept
- Serve as our partners' technical thought leader on cloud, security, GenAI, analytics, and modernization
- Maintain and grow your technical skills and knowledge of industry trends
- Develop and deliver blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures specific to Fed Tech partners on AWS
- Mentor junior SAs and codify best practices into reusable patterns for the broader SA community
- Identify and drive product feature requests based on customer feedback to influence AWS service roadmap
- Travel about 30% of the time
