Job description

At Expedia Group, we help travelers explore the world, one journey at a time. As a global travel company powered by passionate people, trusted partnerships, and leading technology, we connect travelers, partners, and advertisers through our consumer brands, B2B network, and travel advertising business.

Here, you'll do meaningful work that helps millions of people discover, book, and experience travel with more ease, confidence, and joy. Our five Behaviors-Traveler First, Think Big, Operate with Excellence, Ownership Mindset, and Succeed Together-help foster a supportive environment where people can grow their careers and have the flexibility, benefits, and support to do their best work. Join us and build for travelers everywhere.

This role will be especially important in environments that require balancing technical complexity with scalability and performance, coordinating work across multiple organizations, improving delivery processes within established teams, and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex programs from concept through launch, aligning scope, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics across multiple teams.

  • Build and run the operating mechanisms that create clarity and accountability, including delivery plans, executive-ready status updates, dashboards, RAID management, governance, and escalation paths.

  • Influence decisions without direct authority by using data, context, and communication to align engineering, product, and business stakeholders on priorities, trade-offs, and delivery plans.

  • Apply systems thinking and technical fluency to connect architecture, dependencies, APIs, services, databases, and non-functional requirements to delivery decisions.

  • Surface risks early, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and partner with stakeholders to resolve issues before they impact delivery or quality.

  • Embed operational excellence into programs by ensuring readiness for monitoring, incident response, reliability, scalability, and post-launch support.

  • Use metrics and data storytelling to guide prioritization, show delivery health, and help leaders make informed decisions.

  • Identify process gaps, drive measurable improvements, and strengthen agile and team operating practices across the program.

  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, simplifying complex topics into concise updates and decision-oriented narratives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a master's degree, in technical program management or comparable technical delivery roles.

  • Strong experience managing complex, cross-functional technical programs with multiple dependencies, competing priorities, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Solid grounding in agile delivery methods and experience applying them pragmatically to improve execution and team effectiveness.

  • Hands-on experience with planning tools like Jira

  • Technical fluency across modern software systems, including architecture, data flows, service interactions, and operational risk.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging from working teams through executive audiences.

  • Comfortable using program management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence to drive execution and transparency.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience partnering closely with engineering and product leaders to translate business needs into clear technical plans and delivery outcomes.

  • Experience building dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and operating rhythms that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making using AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, Codex etc) to create automation workflows for program reporting, integrating with tools like JIRA.

  • Experience driving change management and repeatable process improvements across multiple teams.

  • Experience mentoring less-tenured TPMs or contributing reusable templates, playbooks, or scalable team practices.

The total cash range for this position in Denver is $136,000.00 to $190,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $217,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
