Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Assessor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in environmental due diligence and site assessment. You will work alongside industry experts and contribute to impactful projects from day one. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Draft clear, concise, and technically sound Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports in accordance with ASTM standards and EPA regulations.
  • Review and synthesize historical land use data, including aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, city directories, and regulatory databases.
  • Analyze environmental records and regulatory agency files to assess potential contamination risks.
  • Prepare supporting documentation such as site maps, figures, appendices, and photographic logs based on field team input.
  • Communicate with project managers, technical reviewers, and field staff to ensure accuracy and consistency of reported findings.
  • Coordinate with clients and team members to clarify project details and reporting needs.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and documentation to support timely and efficient report completion.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current environmental regulations, industry trends, and Phase I ESA best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training, peer reviews, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical writing skills.
  • On occasion, travel to local sites to conduct phase 1 ESA's

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or other related field.
  • 0-2 years writing Phase I environmental site assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work.
  • Internship or consulting experience is a plus but not required.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Curiosity, motivation, and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work on projects concurrently
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time

Compensation:

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
