The Experience
The Customer Centric Engineering team keeps reliability and trust at the center of everything Salesforce builds. As a Customer Centric Engineer, you work on a broad set of challenging customer issues across the Salesforce Core CRM Platform, using a wide range of technologies to troubleshoot and resolve them. You partner closely with Salesforce customer support engineers to troubleshoot customer implementations of the Salesforce Lightning UI, working in JavaScript on the browser and Java on the server.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
  • Use your Java, JavaScript, database, Web API, and UI skills to solve critical customer escalations, finding root causes and proposing fixes and test cases
  • Provide timely, clear information to customer facing teams and mentor internal support teams on technical issues and best practices
  • Champion supportability and debuggability initiatives, build new debugging tools, and partner with engineers on the design and continuous improvement of infrastructure services like logging, monitoring, and alerting
  • Analyze how customers use the platform, help drive continuous improvement of the offering, and share metrics, trends, and success stories with engineering teams

You're Our Person If you have...
  • 4+ years of proven, related technical experience with at least 2 years of experience of professional Java development experience
  • Developer-level technical skills along with a strong desire to interact with customers, support teams and management on high-profile issues critical to the long-term success of the company
  • Unparalleled debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Learn quickly and be productive in a highly collaborative, lightning-fast environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as exemplified by clear bug/issue explanations, documentation of knowledge and comfort interacting with all levels of management
  • Ability to take complex problems and break them down into smaller tasks
    In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux, networking, server, and cloud architectures.
  • Deep understanding of fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP.
  • Knowledge about cloud security and best practices.
  • Must have a background in Java and Javascript
  • Very good understanding of RDBMS.
  • Experience with a known IDE: Eclipse or IntelliJ or VSCode
  • A related technical degree required.

  • You have experience with log parsing and analysis in Splunk, including building reports and dashboards
  • You have experience working with Amazon Web Services
  • You've worked with Lightning Web Components, Lightning Locker, or Lightning Data Service
