Business Development Representative (BDR)

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales pipeline by proactively engaging target accounts through outbound calling and email. This role focuses on identifying prospects, qualifying opportunities, and converting interest into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Execute daily outbound prospecting activities to target accounts
  •  Make 50 outbound calls per day to decision-makers and influencers
  •  Send 30 personalized outbound emails per day
  •  Research and identify qualified prospects within assigned accounts
  •  Qualify prospects based on agreed criteria (ICP, need, authority, timing)
  •  Schedule discovery meetings and hand off Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to Account Executives
  •  Consistently generate 8 SQLs per month
  •  Accurately log all activities, notes, and outcomes in CRM
  •  Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging and targeting
  •  Continuously improve outreach effectiveness through testing and feedback

Performance Metrics

  •  Daily activity targets:
  • 50 outbound calls
  • 30 outbound emails
  •  Monthly results target:
  • 8 Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  •  Meeting quality and conversion rates
  •  CRM accuracy and activity hygiene

  •  Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools preferred
