This role will be offered to work Monday to Thursday Nightshift (6:15 PM - 5:45 AM) or Friday to Sunday Nightshift (6:00 PM - 5:30 AM).

Overview

TheElectricalApprenticeis primarily responsible for installing andterminatingconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices for Silent-Aire Limited Partnership. This position constructs andfabricates control panels/systems and installs interlocking wiringand performs wiring check out.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install andterminateconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.

  • Construct and fabricate control panels and rough and finish wiring and control systems.

  • Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check out.

  • Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC, NESC,NFPAand the UFC.

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainelectrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices.

  • Provide material take-offs for electrical facilities equipment requirements.

  • Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for facilities.

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

  • Test installed/repaired/modified equipment for proper performance.

  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.

  • Keep detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and documentation.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.

  • Monitorpartsusage and report on any materials issues.

  • Assistin preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

  • Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Other duties asrequired.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Registered as anApprenticeElectricianin Alberta and enrolled in a recognizedTradeSchool.

  • Ability to work under the supervision ofJourneypersonElectricians, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.

  • Experience with routine electrical maintenance operationsisan asset.

  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Able to work well under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

  • Be able to work in asafetysensitive environment, at times managing live electricityin accordance withall safety protocols at all times.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
