We're currently looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Part-Time Cashiers. As a Part-Time Cashier with Nyberg's ACE, you are provided with a supportive team, flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the potential for advancement.

General Summary:

The Part-Time Cashier is responsible for efficiently processing register transactions involving merchandise sales and returns.

This position requires weekend availability, as well as some weekday evenings. Please do not apply if you cannot accommodate this schedule. This role will offer 15-25 hours of work per week.

Customer Service:

  • Create a positive and welcoming impression for all customers.
  • Offer friendly greetings to customers upon their entry and throughout their shopping experience. If possible, address customers by name when they leave.
  • Display an approachable and outgoing demeanor, establishing rapport with both customers and fellow associates.
  • Efficiently manage customer checkout lines, ensuring minimal wait times.
  • Respond promptly, courteously, and effectively to calls and pages.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns requiring management attention.
  • Continuously enhance your product knowledge to assist customers with store layout and locating products.
  • Contribute to pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging merchandise.

Register Operations:

  • Adhere to established cash register transaction procedures.
  • Take responsibility for balancing the register drawer.
  • Implement Store Support Center programs or promotions as required at the cash registers.
  • Actively participate in store and Cashier meetings.

Front End Appearance and Upkeep:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors.
  • Regularly face and dust the front end area.
  • Assist with stocking and facing impulse counters and coolers, rotating merchandise as seasons change.
  • Ensure shopping carts are stocked with fresh ads at all times.
  • Keep forms and supplies well-stocked.
  • Participate in front end decoration in line with Store Support Center guidelines.
  • Request cart pickups as needed.
  • Put merchandise returns back on the sales floor.
  • Fulfill any other assigned duties.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience:

Prior cashier experience is preferred, and customer service experience is highly valued.

Physical Demands:

This role involves standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and occasional climbing.
