Truck Driver –Dedicated Flatbed (Home Nightly)Position Summary

Larson Cable Trailers is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Truck Driver to transport trailer frames between manufacturing in Huron SD and finishing in West Point NE. This position hauls trailer frames to finishing operations. Drivers are home nightly and play a key role in maintaining safe, on-time deliveries while representing the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class A CDL flatbed trucks and trailers in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
  • Transport trailer frames between manufacturing and finishing facilities
  • Occasionally deliver finished trailers to dealerships, customers, or partner locations
  • Properly secure loads using straps, chains, binders, and other load securement equipment
  • Inspect loads before, during, and after transport to ensure safety and compliance
  • Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection logs
  • Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) and maintain accurate electronic logbooks
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly
  • Assist with trailer movement and yard organization as needed
  • Maintain clean trucks and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, production, and shipping teams
  • Represent the company professionally during all customer and vendor interactions
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Flatbed hauling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements
  • Experience using electronic logging devices (ELD)
  • Ability to safely strap and secure oversized or heavy loads
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Good driving record and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, pull, and secure straps, chains, and binders
  • Frequent climbing, bending, and walking
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
