As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Inspection in Baton Rouge, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.78 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as required while helping to deter unauthorized entry and protect confidential business areas.
• Document patrol activity and security-related incidents accurately, and promptly communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
